A dream has become reality – A 5* Show Jumping competition at the Palace of Versailles

The official residence of the Kings of France, the Estate of Versailles is one of the most illustrious monuments of the world’s heritage. It welcomes nearly 8 million visitors each year. This weekend it will host the first edition of the Palace of Versailles International Show Jumping Competition.

The competition will be organized by the MG-EVENTS team (Gérard MANZINALI and Jean Maurice BONNEAU) in partnership with the Palace of Versailles, in which offers an allotment of 510,000 € of prize money, the high point of which will be the ROLEX Grand Prix.

This competition will take place in the courtyard of the Great Royal Stables, which face the Palace of Versailles.

A 5* International Show Jumping competition at the Palace of Versailles, is a little bit like the Loch Ness monster: everyone talked about it but no one ever saw it. A favourable turn of events combined with the image conveyed by our Chantilly competition, allowed me to open the gates of the Palace and to make an attractive organizational proposition to the administrators of this world-famous institution. After many months of study and research the dream has become reality,” says GÉRARD MANZINALI, representing the organizers.
