Welcome to contributor Princess Märtha Louise

A warm welcome to the Norwegian Princess Märtha Louise as a contributor to the EQULIFE team.

Princess Märtha Louise of Norway has a long fascination for horses and is an avid rider. She started riding at the age of 8 and was a known face on the showjumping scene through the nineties, doing the World Cup tours and riding on the Norwegian Showjumping Team. She stopped riding in 2000 and has just come back to the sport through her children and their budding interest for horses. The family owns a pony called Wendy. In addition to her royal duties and having a focus on persons with disabilities, Princess Märtha Louise is also an entrepreneur and has founded her own business within spirituality called Soulspring. Together with Elisabeth Nordeng she gives courses, writes books and holds lectures worldwide. www.soulspring.no

“Although I have loved setting and reaching goals and the adrenalin kicks, it’s riding through nature and having a close bond with the beautiful horses that I have truly missed the most.”

Memoirs of a Norwegian Princess” will be presented in our next issue.

Therese is the editor of Equilife, and is truly dedicated to equestrian sports and horses. She started riding as a little girl, and enjoys her free time with her two horses back home. Portrait interview is her favorite topic, as it has the gift to inspire others through peoples stories, knowledge, training and general life-philosophy, and certainly, their lives with horses.
