Award-winning photographer and filmmaker Drew Doggett’s latest release, the Spirit of Sable collection, represents over 7 years of continued documentation and collaboration with the Parks department. These 10 prints encompass the island’s wild nature and romantic
appeal, and include the only fine art prints documenting the Sable Island horses via drone.

by small plane and permission from the Park’s authorities, Sable Island is wholly unique. The resilient, all wild horses who thrive on the island are, in fact, the only terrestrial residents. While man has tried to conquer Sable and claim it as its own, these attempts have never been successful and only the horses have managed to sustain life there.

The ability to film the island via drone was an aspiration of Drew’s that was realized after

The Parks Department will also be using this footage to help with their ongoing efforts to educate the public on Sable Island and its famous wild equestrian community.
